How to Find Any AcroYoga Video in Seconds: A Guide to Search and Filters
With over 11,000 AcroYoga videos in our library, finding exactly what you want to practice could feel overwhelming — but it doesn’t have to be. AcroYoga Videos is built around a fast, flexible search and filter system that lets you zero in on the right video in seconds. Here’s how to use it.
Start With the Search Bar
The search bar at the top of the library is the fastest way to find something specific. Just start typing a title keyword — “washing machine,” “handstand,” “bird” — and the library updates instantly as you type.
The search works on video titles, so think about the move or sequence name rather than a description. Not sure of the exact name? Try a partial word — “wash” will still find all the washing machine videos.
Filter by Category
The All Categories dropdown narrows the library to a specific style or type of AcroYoga. Categories include things like:
- Washing Machine
- Icarian & Whips
- L-Base Flow
- Static Poses
- Dance Lifts
- Counterbalances & Supine Poses
- Kaleidoscope Acro
- Group Machines
If you’re working on a specific discipline, this is the fastest way to see everything in that category at once.
Filter by Level
Not every video is right for every practitioner. Use the All Levels dropdown to show only videos tagged as:
- Beginner — fundamentals, entry-level poses, and introductory flows
- Intermediate — requires some base and flyer experience
- Advanced — complex sequences and high-level technique
Pair this with a category filter for the most targeted results. For example: Beginner + Washing Machine gives you a great starting point for learning that sequence family.
Filter by Channel
Every video in the library is tagged to its YouTube channel. The All Channels dropdown lists channels with more than five videos, so you can browse the full catalog of your favourite teachers and creators.
Some of the most prolific channels in the library include Jacob Brown, Acro Connection, Acroduo JN, YogaSlackers, and many more. Select a channel to see everything they’ve published that’s in our library.
Filter by Rating
The Any Rating dropdown lets you filter by community star ratings:
- 3★ & up — well-regarded videos worth your time
- 4★ & up — highly rated, consistently recommended
- 5★ only — the community’s absolute favourites
Ratings are submitted by visitors right from the library — no account needed, just click the stars on any video card. The more ratings a video collects, the more reliable the average becomes.
Browse A to Z
The alphabet bar just above the search box lets you jump straight to a letter. Click W to see all videos starting with “W,” or # for videos that start with a number. Click All to return to the full library.
This is handy when you’re browsing rather than searching for something specific — or when you half-remember a title and know it starts with a certain letter.
Choose Your View
Three view modes sit in the top-right corner of the controls:
Small (default) — compact thumbnail grid, great for quick browsing. Hover over a thumbnail to see the video description pop up.
Large — bigger thumbnails for when you want a better look at what’s happening in the video before clicking through.
Text — a dense three-column list of titles. Hover over any title to see its full name, description, level, and channel in a popup. The Text view is the fastest way to scan a large number of results, and it loads up to 250 videos at once.
Watch Without Leaving the Page
Click any video thumbnail and it opens directly in a large player right on the page — no need to jump to YouTube. The player fills most of your screen width so you can actually see what’s happening. Press Escape or click outside the player to close it and keep browsing.
On mobile, tapping a thumbnail opens the video in the YouTube app instead, which gives you the best experience on a small screen.
Sort by Top Rated
Hit the ★ Top Rated button to re-sort the entire library by rating, highest first. This is a great way to discover videos you might have missed — the community has already done the quality filtering for you.
Combine Everything
The real power comes from stacking filters. Try combinations like:
- Jacob Brown + Washing Machine + Beginner — his beginner washing machine tutorials
- 4★ & up + Icarian & Whips — the highest-rated Icarian videos
- Top Rated + Advanced — the community’s favourite advanced content
All filters work together in real time. Clear everything with the red ✕ Clear All button that appears whenever a filter is active.
Know a Video We’re Missing?
If you find an AcroYoga video on YouTube that isn’t in the library, submit it using the Submit a Video link in the navigation. It goes into a review queue and, once approved, joins the library permanently.
