How to Submit an AcroYoga Video to the Library

The AcroYoga Videos library grows through community contributions. If you’ve found a great AcroYoga video on YouTube that isn’t in our collection yet, you can submit it for review in under a minute. Here’s how.

Who Can Submit?

Submissions are open to registered users. If you don’t have an account yet, reach out through the Contact Us page to request access. Once you’re logged in, the Submit a Video page is available from the navigation menu.

What Makes a Good Submission?

Before submitting, it helps to know what we’re looking for:

  • AcroYoga content — partner acrobatics, base and flyer work, acro flows, washing machines, Icarian, L-base, and related disciplines
  • YouTube videos — Instagram and Facebook links are also accepted, though YouTube is preferred for the best experience in the library
  • Quality over quantity — instructional videos, well-filmed demos, and recognized teachers tend to be approved quickly. Random compilations or unrelated content may be rejected

Not sure if a video qualifies? Submit it anyway and add a note in the Comments field explaining why you think it’s a good fit. We’d rather review a borderline submission than miss something great.

Step-by-Step: How to Submit

1. Go to Submit a Video

Click Submit a Video in the main navigation. You’ll need to be logged in — if you’re not, you’ll be redirected to the contact page to request access.

2. Paste the Video URL

Copy the full YouTube URL from your browser or from the YouTube share button and paste it into the Video URLfield. As soon as you paste it, a thumbnail preview appears so you can confirm it’s the right video.

Instagram and Facebook URLs are also accepted.

3. Enter the Title

Type the video’s title. You can use the original YouTube title or clean it up if it’s cluttered with hashtags or all-caps. Keep it readable — this is what people will see in the library.

4. Add a Description (optional)

A short description helps other users understand what the video covers before they watch it. Two or three sentences is plenty. This is especially useful for technique-focused videos where the title alone doesn’t tell the whole story.

5. Add Comments for the Reviewer (optional)

The Comments field is private — only the site admin sees it. Use this to explain why you’re recommending the video, flag anything unusual about it, or note if it belongs to a specific category you’re not sure about. This helps us make a faster, better decision.

6. Select a Level

Choose the level that best describes the video’s difficulty:

  • Beginner — entry-level moves, fundamentals, suitable for new practitioners
  • Intermediate — requires some experience as base or flyer
  • Advanced — complex sequences, high-level technique
  • TBD — if you’re not sure, leave this selected and we’ll assign it during review

7. Select a Category

Pick the category that best fits the video’s content. If nothing fits, select Other and type in a custom category. The full list includes Washing Machine, Icarian & Whips, L-Base Flow, Static Poses, Dance Lifts, Group Machines, and more.

8. Add the YouTube Channel Name (optional)

If you know the name of the YouTube channel the video comes from, enter it here. This helps us keep the library organized by creator and makes the channel filter more useful for everyone.

9. Submit

Click Submit for Review. You’ll see a confirmation message on the page. That’s it — your submission is now in the review queue.

What Happens Next?

Every submission is reviewed by the site admin before it goes live. This usually happens within a few days. If approved, the video is added to the library immediately and becomes searchable alongside the rest of the collection. If rejected, it’s quietly removed from the queue — we don’t send rejection notices, but feel free to reach out if you’re curious about a specific submission.

There’s no limit on how many videos you can submit, but please don’t bulk-submit unreviewed content. A handful of well-chosen submissions is more useful than a hundred low-quality ones.

Found Something Missing?

The library currently has over 11,000 videos and we’re always adding more. If you’re a teacher or creator and want your own content included, submitting it yourself is the fastest path. If you’re a fan of a particular channel and notice their videos aren’t well represented, submissions from the community are exactly how we fix that.

Head to Submit a Video and help make the library better for everyone.
